Jessica's Journey to Restore Her Dignity

I have lived with Parry Romberg syndrome for 16 years, and it has changed my life in ways that are hard to put into words. The condition has caused severe disfigurement on my face, along with pain, pressure, and sensitivity on the left side. I have also lived with debilitating depression and anxiety connected to this, but the emotional damage has often been even harder than the physical pain.

Simple everyday things that many people take for granted have become incredibly difficult for me. Going to the grocery store, attending my children’s school activities, or even going to the hair salon can feel overwhelming. I have had to endure stares, laughter, and judgment from others, and those moments stay with me. One recent dental appointment was especially painful. I was made to feel uncomfortable and ashamed of my appearance, and I left in tears.

This fundraiser is not about trying to become someone else. I am asking for help because I want my face back, my dignity back, and a chance to feel hope and happiness again.

Donations will help me pay for visits and consultations with surgical physicians, recommended surgery, and dental restorations, including extractions and dentures. These are the next steps I need, and any support would help me move forward.
