Imagine needing treatment while also wondering how you will pay the rent. Trying to care for your health while the everyday costs of living keep coming. Having to reach out to people you have never met and ask for help.
This is the situation Louis describes.
Through the Dystonia diary account, Louis shares that they live with generalized dystonia and live alone. In a public appeal, Louis explains that they have spent considerable time in hospital and are struggling to afford treatment and a place to stay.
Behind the videos is a person asking for support with two basic needs: access to care and somewhere to live.
A person seeking treatment still has rent to think about. There still needs to be somewhere to come home to, rest, and manage the next day. No one should have to carry all of these worries without support.
You may only be able to give a small amount. That contribution still helps move the campaign forward. When many people give what is manageable for them, their donations can add up to meaningful support.
If you can, please contribute an amount that feels right for you. Your donation can help this campaign move closer to its goal and support Louis's efforts to access treatment.
If donating is not possible today, sharing the campaign can help it reach someone who is able to contribute.
Louis has already taken the difficult step of asking for help. Together, we can respond with compassion and practical support.
Please donate or share to help Louis move forward.
