To my lovely supporters, old and new, I wanted to update you on how my week has been.
I was discharged from the Ron Johnson Ward on Monday after spending time there fighting two infections and taking a break from chemotherapy for one cycle. That gave me a genuinely lovely week at home, recovering and rebuilding not only my strength but also my confidence, which has been tested recently.
Monday was my seventh wedding anniversary, so we went out for dinner to celebrate. During the week, I visited Richmond Park with Stanley, my dog, and spent some time in nature. It was calming and restorative in a way I truly needed.
On Saturday, I celebrated a friend's birthday and got dressed up for dinner at his house. On Sunday, I visited Bournemouth, my hometown, to see my mum, dad and extended family. It was the first time I had been back since my diagnosis.
There were many positive moments in one week, and they reminded me exactly what this fight is worth. Throughout all of it, I have been taking care of myself, saving the energy I have for the things that matter most and resting whenever needed.
Now I have until Thursday to prepare for my next round of treatment — full power this time.
Thank you, as always, for standing with me through this. Your support is helping me continue fighting for access to the cancer treatment I urgently need.
